Traits vs Title
What to look for in a partner…
Our media outlets influence every aspect of our life. Reality TV, Social Media, and major networks influence most people.
What messages are being projected onto the young and impressionable parts of the population? Is this a moral dilemma?
Promiscuity, sexual risk, and a lack of overall decency represent the negative aspect that has come from technology within the modern era. These aspects of life have always existed, but they were not celebrated and normalized like they are today. Monogamy, respect, and honesty are not selling points in today’s world. A gentleman is now the minority. I could pull studies and reports, but this problem is so obvious. Literally, go on social media or watch one of the major networks for young adults and tell me I’m wrong.
From a cultural standpoint, we are in a moral dilemma. Deep down, we know it is not healthy to run through sexual partner after sexual partner. We know we should show some class. We know that loyalty still means something. Today, we normalize divorce instead of encouraging people to work through their problems. Just because you divorce someone does not mean that your ongoing internal conflicts will be solved. Usually, the deep-seated, unaddressed flaws that you have will rear their head in the next relationship that you have. You can’t use the legal system to escape who you are.
One way to sidestep the path that our current culture leads us down is to know what to look for in a partner. We foolishly place most of our emphasis on the title or brands that we can afford. You can’t pick someone solely based on their appearance or their title. Mercedes is a title, Gucci is a title, mansions are a title. You should look for the person’s traits. A woman should look for a man who shows the traits to attain resources. A man should look for traits of a loyal spouse and good mother in a woman that he meets. You can get a loan and fake a title. You can only fake your personality for so long.
Look at a person’s TRAITS! NOT THEIR TITLE!
